The Lee May Memorial Garden and Rain Garden

My name is Harry Link.  Lee May was my best friend, mentor, kindred spirit, and he was like a big brother and second father all in one.  He was one of the greatest, most patient teachers of all things gardening that I have ever met. Everyone who ever knew him, liked him.  That is why I must build this memorial garden in his honor.  My goal is to inspire everyone who visits the garden, like Lee inspired me.  Even if you didn't have the chance to meet Lee, everyone will still be able to enjoy the garden.  After a walk at Heritage Park, you can walk over, sit down, and enjoy the peacefulness of it.  Hopefully you will draw inspiration from it.

Eddie Lee May

Lee went back to the earth on December 3, 2014.  He is the inspiration for this memorial/rain garden.

I am Harry Link

I have 20 years of gardening experience and graduated from the UCONN Master Gardeners program in 2014.  I am curently working on becoming an Advanced Master Gardener.  I tried to incorporate as much of Lee's style as I could in my design.  Please remember, The more donations we get, the better the public garden we will have to enjoy for years to come.
